About Me

I have been passionate about archaeology, and the ancient history of the Mediterranean lands and peoples, since I could read. After discovering Troy with Schliemann, and Knossos with Evans, I wanted to uncover some lost piece of human history as well. Alas, that has not yet happened. But my journey continues, through reading, and writing, the story of our ancient history.

My personal story is that I was born in a small town in Italy, and grew up in the US.  I am married more than two decades to a wonderful man and we have two sons. I love to travel–I walked the streets of Pompeii twice, climbed to the Acropolis twice, and visited Egypt four times. I have yet to work on any archaeological dig, but it could happen.

Meanwhile, sit back, and enjoy this journey of reading through the ancient history of Egypt.
